2. Data Collection and Processing
No cookies are set and no user-profiling or analytics tools are used on this website. Page view counts for blog articles are tracked anonymously via Supabase – see section 4 for details.
When you visit this website, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page visited, browser used) is automatically processed by the hosting provider. This processing is technically necessary and is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation of the website). The processing of server log data is necessary to ensure the security and stability of the website.
To store your selected language, an entry is saved in your browser's local storage. This information is used solely to improve user experience and is not transmitted to third parties.
3. Hosting (Vercel)
This website is hosted by Vercel (Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When accessing the website, technical access data is automatically transmitted to and processed on Vercel's servers.
A transfer of data to the USA cannot be excluded. Vercel ensures an adequate level of data protection through the conclusion of standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. For more information, please refer to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
4. View Count Tracking (Supabase)
To display the most-read blog articles, page views for individual posts are counted. When a blog post is opened, only the article slug (e.g. „my-article") together with an anonymous counter value is stored in a database provided by Supabase.
No personal data of visitors is stored or processed. In particular, no IP addresses, device identifiers or user identifiers are processed. The counting is carried out anonymously.
To prevent multiple counts within a single visit, a technical flag is stored in the browser's session storage. This serves exclusively for the functionality of the view counter and is automatically deleted when the browser session ends. No cross-device identification takes place.
The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in determining the relevance of individual content).
A transfer of data to the USA cannot be excluded. Supabase ensures an adequate level of protection through standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. For more information, please refer to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
